The UCS™ 2900 uses a three-stage crosspoint switch architecture in which each connection is made through a unique path. This design supports any-to-any, non-blocked connectivity—providing multiple redundant paths for each connection, plus automatic rerouting for any bad connections.
This design is both speed- and protocol-independent and supports switch sizes from 32 ports up to an unprecedented 4,096 ports. In other words, it’s the most flexible and scalable platform on the market.
The UCS 2900 also delivers the highest levels of reliability, availability and serviceability (RAS) for mission-critical environments. Hot-swappable, redundant components with automated fail-over ensure the highest level of availability. And advanced diagnostics allow personnel to quickly identify and replace any failing or problem components.
