OnPATH Universal Connectivity System™ is a physical layer switch and monitoring solution scaling up to 4096 ports of connectivity in a single, non-blocking switch fabric.  Occupying individual slots in a UCS™ 2900 chassis, the blades or port interface modules (PIMs) provide a unifying, physical interface for the connection of ports without the need to move or disrupt cables. PIMs are available for both copper and fiber optic interfaces for maximum flexibility and provide media conversion between copper and fiber or single and multimode fiber interfaces.

As a result, IT managers can share equipment and devices across a centralized matrix switch fabric and automatically interconnect any and all interfaces for maximum application connectivity.  The large non-blocking connectivity increases equipment utilization and saves valuable time, significantly saving on capital and operating costs.
