Peter Dougherty, President & CEO
Peter Dougherty is responsible for OnPATH Technologies' vision, strategic direction and operational management. Peter has more than 20 years of experience designing and marketing storage, input/output and storage networking technologies. A former vice president at McDATA Corporation, he has also held marketing, management and engineering positions at Western Digital and Unisys Corporation.
Peter has served on the board of directors for the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and was a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), Computer Measurement Group, IEEE, ACM and Infiniband Trade Associations. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the College of New Jersey and has completed executive training at the University of California at Berkeley, Harvard University and the Center for Executive Management Research.
Larry Cantwell, Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Larry Cantwell sets the company's technology direction and long-term product strategy. He joined OnPATH Technologies after serving as vice president of Engineering at VC-funded Tacit Networks in the WAFS space. He successfully headed engineering operations up to and including the successful acquisition and integration with Packeteer Corporation.
Larry has over 17 years of engineering development leadership experience in the networking and storage industries, and has held positions with such companies as IBM, General Electric and CNT Corporation (formerly INRANGE and previously part of McDATA Corporation). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from R.I.T. and an MBA from Rutgers University, where he currently teaches as an adjunct professor. He also holds several patents for switching advancements.
Brian P. McCann, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer
Brian McCann leads the sales and marketing activities for the company, with a focus on building strategic customer programs, go-to-market strategies, and innovative marketing plans to accelerate revenue growth.
With over 20 years of experience in executive-level management, sales leadership and business development, Brian was most recently the founding President and Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer at ADVA Optical Networking, where he worked for 12 years. ADVA Optical Networking is one of the world's leading providers of Optical+Ethernet transport solutions that advance next-generation networks for data, storage, voice and video services. Brian was specifically responsible for establishing and extensively growing ADVA's U.S. business to exceed $100 million in annual revenues. He was also part of the executive team that grew the global organization.
Prior to joining ADVA, Mr. McCann spent nine years at 3M Corporation holding successive positions in manufacturing engineering, product marketing, and sales management.
Brian holds a bachelor of science in ceramic engineering from the Fiber Optics Program at Rutgers University in Piscataway, N.J., where he graduated cum laude.
David P. Vitt, Vice President Operations & Service
Dave Vitt is responsible for all operations and service functions for the organization-including overseeing product quality and delivery, as well as customer support and service. Dave has over 25 years of commercial and military industry experience. He is a former vice president of Quality Assurance at McDATA Corporation and vice president of Engineering at CNT Corporation, and has also held executive and management positions at INRANGE Technologies and General Signal Networks. David possesses extensive experience in Mil-Q-9858 and ISO-9001 Quality Systems, as well as the European Union Directives.
He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University and earned his MBA from Rowan University. Dave is also an adjunct professor at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey, where he teaches Operations Management.
