Effective test automation requires flexibility

With network and software testing, a recent EE Times report stated, companies require a flexible solution that allows them to audit new systems, correct issues and implement the changes quickly in order to uphold efficiency.
Fortunately, all can be achieved through the use of a
test automation solution, according to the news provider. The flexibility will help companies ensure their systems are in full working order, otherwise software bugs and network issues my hinder employees' ability to complete critical tasks.
"Automated test systems can provide measurement consistency and relieve engineers of the tedious task of manual data recording," Darryl Phillips and Talal Al Attar of Santa Clara University's Center for Analog Design and Research wrote for the EE Times.
Furthermore, they added, reconfiguring tests shouldn't take longer than the time needed to record results. If it does, changes need to be made to the test software or practices, according to the report.
Overall, network management will be a key consideration for organizations throughout 2012 and beyond, according to a recent report from Business Computing World. Contributor Justin Fielder wrote that companies need smarter networks, which begins with better testing and monitoring tools.
